Case Lifecycle Statuses in MedQdoc #
The CASE module in MedQdoc supports key quality management processes required by MedTech companies. All cases follow a standardized lifecycle to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance across the quality management system.
Case Types Supported in MedQdoc #
MedQdoc supports multiple types of cases covering common quality and compliance processes, including both predefined and custom case templates.

While MedQdoc supports different types of cases, all cases follow the same lifecycle statuses to ensure consistent handling and full traceability throughout the system.
Case Lifecycle Status #
Each case progresses through defined lifecycle statuses that reflect its current stage. The transition between statuses depends on the workflow and steps configured in the specific case template.
The available case statuses are:
- Register – The case is created and initial information is entered. At this stage, the case is logged but not yet under active review.
- In Progress – The case is actively being worked on. Assigned users perform investigations, implement actions, or collect evidence.
- Resolved – The main actions or corrections have been completed, and the outcome is under review or verification.
- Closed – The case has been verified, approved, and officially completed. No further actions are expected.
- Archived – The case is retained for long-term reference and audit purposes. Archived cases remain read-only but accessible when needed.
