Standard User – Role & Permissions #
The Standard User role in MedQdoc is designed for users working with documents within assigned folders. Access and lifecycle permissions are controlled through group membership and folder scope.
Folder Access #
- Browse – View the Browse page and folder structure
- Search – Access and use the search page
Document Privileges #
- Can be selected as Collaborator – Share documents with other users
- Access to Cancel Lifecycle – Cancel a document lifecycle process (if permitted)
My Created #
- Create Document – User can create new documents (if granted via group)
- My Created Lists – View personal document lists including:
- Documents created by me
- Documents sent for review
- Reviewed documents
- Documents sent for approval
- Approved documents
- Documents shared with me
- Deleted documents
My Tasks #
- View Task Lists – Access task-related document statuses such as:
- Needs to be reviewed
- Needs to be approved
- Reading receipt requested
Possible Group Permissions (Document Lifecycle) #
The following lifecycle permissions may be granted depending on group configuration:
- Create – Authority to create documents in related folders
- Read – Access to Approved and Published documents
- Review – If appointed as Reviewer, documents appear in task lists
- Approve – If appointed as Approver, documents appear in task lists
- Archive – Authority to archive documents created by the user or where the user is collaborator
- Concerned By – Makes the user selectable for reading receipt (requires Reader permission)
Profile & Group Logic #
- Group privileges remain active even if removed from the profile
- Profile change may be restricted if incompatible group privileges exist
- Group privilege updates require matching profile permissions for all users in the group
