Reader – Role & Permissions #
The Reader role in MedQdoc is designed for users who primarily need read access to controlled documents. Permissions are managed through group configuration and defined folder access.
Folder Access #
- Browse – View the Browse page and folder structure
- Search – Access and use the search page
My Tasks #
- View Task Lists – View documents with task-related statuses such as:
- Needs to be reviewed
- Reading receipt requested
Possible Group Permissions #
The Reader role may be assigned additional permissions via group membership.
- Read – Access to Approved and Published documents within assigned folders
- Review – If appointed as Reviewer, relevant documents appear in task lists
- Concerned By – Makes the user selectable for reading receipt of a document (requires Reader permission)
Access Scope #
- Folder-based visibility – Only documents within related folders are visible
- Status-based filtering – Approved and Published statuses appear based on permissions
Profile & Group Logic #
- Group privileges remain active even if removed from the profile
- Profile change may be restricted if incompatible group privileges exist
- Group privilege updates require matching profile permissions for all users in the group
