How to add a Document Prefix in MedQdoc #
In MedQdoc, the document prefix is added as part of the document metadata. Prefixes help classify documents by type (for example SOP, WI, or REC) and support a consistent and traceable documentation structure.
Where to Add a Document Prefix #
A document prefix is selected directly in the document’s metadata. The prefix becomes part of the document identity and is visible in document lists and document details.
How to Add or Change a Document Prefix #
To add or update a document prefix:
- Open the document.
- Go to the document Metadata section.
- Select the correct Document Prefix from the available list.
- Save your changes.
Who Can Edit Document Metadata? #
The Creator of the document and any assigned Collaborators can update document metadata, including the document prefix.
Can You Change the Prefix on a Published Document? #
Yes. The document prefix can be updated even after the document has been published. This allows organizations to correct or improve document classification when needed.
