Automatic revision reminders for documents #
MedQdoc can automatically remind responsible users when a document is due for revision. This helps ensure timely document reviews and supports ongoing compliance.
What are automatic revision reminders? #
Automatic revision reminders notify responsible user groups when a document is approaching its planned revision date. Reminders are based on a revision interval defined at site level and applied to folders.
How revision intervals work #
Your company can define a default revision interval (in years) at site level. The interval can then be applied to one or more folders.
- The revision interval determines when a document is due for review
- The interval is managed at site level and applied to folders
- Only documents located in folders with an assigned interval will be included
When reminders are sent #
Responsible user groups receive reminders:
- Two weeks before the revision is due
- Weekly until the document has been revised and republished
Reminders stop once the revised document has been republished.
Who receives the reminders? #
Revision reminders are sent to the responsible user groups configured for the folder or document process.
If you are unsure which user group is responsible for a folder, please contact your MedQdoc administrator.
What to do when you receive a reminder #
When you receive a revision reminder:
- Open the document that is due for revision
- Select Revise document
- Update the document content if needed
- Submit the document for review and approval (if applicable)
- Republish the document to complete the revision cycle
What if the document does not need any changes? #
If no changes are needed, revise and republish the document to confirm the review has been completed and to stop reminders.
